Changes to six Indiana counties’ income tax rates and the state income tax rate are expected to take effect on Jan. 1, 2025, the state revenue department said Dec. 11.
According to Departmental Notice No. 1, the state income tax rate will decrease to 3%, down from 3.05% in 2024.
The six counties adjusting their tax rates are:
- Floyd County, to 1.89% from 1.39%.
- Gibson County, to 1.3% from 0.9%.
- Jay County, to 2.5% from 2.45%.
- Monroe County, to 2.14% from 2.035%.
- Rush County, to 2.15% from 2.1%.
- Switzerland County, to 1.45% from 1.25%.
