Alaska Minimum Wage

Effective Jan. 1, 2019, Alaska’s hourly minimum wage is expected to rise to $9.89 from $9.84, according to Bloomberg Tax calculations.

The hourly minimum wage is annually indexed to allow for inflation-related adjustments, based on changes to the consumer price index for the previous year and statutory requirements (AS 23.10.065). In 2017, the CPI rose 0.5 percent.
