Alaska released its 2024 unemployment insurance wage base and employee tax rate on the Labor and Workforce Development Department website.
The unemployment-taxable wage base will rise to $49,700 from $47,100, according to the website.
The tax rate for employees will be 0.5% in 2024, down from 0.51% in 2023, according to the website. Employees earning at least $49,700 in taxable wages in 2024 will pay a maximum of $248.50 in unemployment taxes, up from $240.21 in 2023.
