Alaska Releases 2026 Unemployment Insurance Tax Rates

Alaska released its 2026 unemployment insurance tax rates for employers and employees on the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development website.

The tax rate for experienced employers is generally 1%, but delinquent employers assigned Rate Class 21 are assigned a 5.4% rate, according to the experience rate table. The tax rate for new employers in 2026 is 1% regardless of their industry, according to the department’s website.
