The prevailing minimum wage in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will remain $12 for calendar year 2026, according to a notice from the city.
Albuquerque’s local minimum wage rate will rise to $11.85 for 2026, but New Mexico’s state minimum wage rate is higher at $12, according to the notice. Accordingly, the state minimum wage will be the prevailing one and will apply to all employers regardless of whether they provide health benefits to employees.
The hourly minimum wage for tipped employees will remain $7.20, or 60% of the prevailing minimum wage rate, according to the notice.
