Albuquerque to Increase 2022 Hourly Minimum Wage to $11.50

Albuquerque will increase its hourly minimum wage to $11.50 from $10.50 effective Jan. 1, 2022, the city said in a notice released on Oct. 15.

The city’s tipped minimum wage, which is 60% of its hourly minimum wage, will rise to $6.90 from $6.30.

The hourly minimum wage will rise to $10.50 from $9.50 for employees who receive at least $2,500 annually in health care or childcare benefits from their employer, the notice said.

Albuquerque’s minimum wage rate is annually adjusted based on changes to the consumer price index and rounded to the nearest five cents under its minimum wage ...
