Tax rates used on Arizona’s withholding certificate are to decrease for 2023, and all taxpayers must complete a new form for 2023, the state revenue department said Oct. 28.
The rates used on the 2023 Form A-4, Arizona Withholding Percentage Election, range from 0.5% to 3.5%, down from 0.8% to 5.1%. Employees can select any of the form’s seven rates or a rate of zero if they meet the requirements to claim exemption, and can also request additional withholding.
The department is “requiring taxpayers to complete a new Form A-4 for 2023,” it said on the form.
