Bakery Production Workers Nab Nearly $2.3 Million Wage Case Deal

A Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. worker asked a federal judge for permission to move forward with an almost $2.3 million settlement resolving wage claims at dozens of the company’s manufacturing facilities.

Approximately 24,000 of the bakery wholesaler’s workers are eligible to participate in the deal, according to settlement documents filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The lead plaintiff reached an agreement with the multinational bakery conglomerate Grupo Bimbo’s indirect subsidiary less than a year after filing his complaint.
