Belgium has increased the minimum wages for workers in industry sectors without a minimum wage indicated in a collective labor agreement.
Effective since Sept. 1, 2018, Belgium’s standard monthly minimum wages are:
- €1,593.81 (U.S. $1,852.80) for workers at least 18 years old, up from €1,562.59 (U.S. $1,816.51);
- €1,636.10 (U.S. $1,901.15) for workers at least 19 years old with at least six months of seniority, up from €1,604.06 (U.S. $1,863.92); and
- €1,654.90 (U.S. $1,922.99) for workers at least 20 years old with at least 12 months of seniority, up from €1,622.48 (U.S. $1,885.32).
