Former financial technology executive Frank Bisignano was sworn in as the new Commissioner of Social Security May 7, the Social Security Administration said.
Bisignano’s nomination, which was approved 53-47 by the Senate May 6, is for a term ending Jan. 19, 2031.
Bisignano was previously the chairman and CEO of Fiserv, the SSA said in a news release. Previous commissioner Martin O’Malley resigned Nov. 29, 2024.
