The Brazilian Chamber of Deputies June 25 approved Bill No. PL 2692/2025, to amend the individual income tax table, effective May 2025. The bill includes measures to: 1) increase the exemption threshold from the first bracket to approximately 2,428 Brazilian reals (US$441), from approximately 2,259 reals (US$410); and 2) guarantee a full tax exemption for individuals who receive up to two minimum wages, earning up to 3,036 reals (US$552) per month.
