British Columbia to Increase Minimum Wages June 1

British Columbia’s hourly minimum wages will increase June 1, including a minimum wage the Canadian province introduced in 2024 for ridesharing and delivery app workers, the province’s government said Feb. 14.

The standard hourly minimum wage will increase to C$17.85 (US$12.58), from C$17.40, the government said in a news release. The province’s other minimum wages for residential caretakers, live-in home-support workers, camp leaders, and ridesharing and delivery app workers will increase by the same 2.6% June 1, the government said.
