Large employers in Hayward, Calif., are to pay an hourly minimum wage of at least $15 starting July 1, 2020, under an ordinance that was adopted Feb. 4 by the city council.
Employers with up to 25 workers are to pay an hourly minimum wage of $14, starting July 1, 2020, under the measure (PH20-007), which is effective March 5. Large employers are those with more than 25 employees.
