California City to Raise Minimum Wage to $16.47 in 2023

The hourly minimum wage in Burlingame, California, will rise to $16.47 from $15.60 effective Jan. 1, 2023, according to the city’s minimum wage website on Sept. 22.

Burlingame updated its minimum wage poster to reflect the increased minimum wage. The poster is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese.

California’s current minimum wage is $15 per hour for employers with at least 26 employees and $14 per hour for employers with fewer than 26 employees. The state minimum wage will rise to $15.50 effective Jan. 1, 2023.
