California City to Raise Minimum Wage to $16.54 Starting July 1

The hourly minimum wage in Alameda, California, will rise to $16.54 from $15.75 effective July 1.

The minimum wage applies to employees working at least two hours in the city per week, under the city’s minimum wage code.

Alameda also updated its minimum wage poster to reflect the increase. The poster is available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Korean.

The increase was announced on the city’s minimum wage webpage on April 26.
