The hourly minimum wage in Cupertino, California, will rise to $17.20 from $16.40 effective Jan. 1, 2023, according to an Oct. 7 update on the city’s minimum wage webpage.
The minimum wage applies to employees who work at least two hours in the city in a calendar week, under Cupertino’s minimum wage code.
California’s current hourly minimum wage is $15 for employers with at least 26 employees and $14 for employers with fewer than 26 employees. The state minimum wage will rise to $15.50 for all employers effective Jan. 1, 2023.
