California City to Raise Minimum Wage to $17.68 Starting July 1

The hourly minimum wage in Emeryville, California, will rise to $17.68 from $17.13 effective July 1, according to the city’s Minimum Wage Ordinance website on March 16.

The minimum wage applies to employees working at least two hours in the city per week, the city’s minimum wage code states.

Emeryville’s minimum wage rate is annually adjusted based on changes to the consumer price index, according to the city’s minimum wage code.

California’s current minimum wage is $15 per hour for employers that have at least 26 employees and $14 per hour for employers that have fewer than 26 employees.
