California’s tax rate for employers, partners, and self-employed workers who choose to be covered in the state’s temporary disability insurance program is 5.13 percent for 2019, up from 4.59 percent in 2018, the state Employment Development Department said Jan. 2 on its website.
The taxable wage base for the temporary disability insurance program is $118,371 for 2019.
