California Minimum Wage

The Anaheim City Council voted June 19 to place on the November ballot a measure that would raise to $15 on Jan. 1, 2019, the hourly minimum wage for hospitality workers who are employed by companies that receive economic aid from the city.

Under the measure, the hourly minimum wage would increase by $1 each Jan. 1 until 2022, at which point the hourly minimum wage would increase at the greater of 2 percent or the inflation-related adjustment to the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
