California’s taxable wage base and tax rate for temporary disability insurance are to rise for 2021, the state Employment Development Department said Dec. 18.
Effective Jan. 1, 2021, the taxable wage base is to be $128,298, up from $122,909 in 2020, the department said on its website.
The employee tax rate for coverage by the state temporary disability insurance plan is to be 1.2% for 2021, up from 1% in 2020.
