Cambodia’s garment-industry monthly minimum wage is to increase in 2023, the country’s labor ministry said Sept. 21.

The minimum wage, which covers the garment, footwear, and travel goods and bags industries, is to increase to US$200 per month, up from US$194, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training said in a news release (Khmer).

For workers on their probationary period, the minimum wage is to be US$198 per month, up from US$192, the ministry said.

The minimum wage is set in US dollars instead of Cambodian riels.
