Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) announced all the city’s minimum wage increases that will take effect July 1 in a June 6 news release.
The hourly minimum wage rate in Chicago, Illinois, for domestic workers and employers with at least 21 employees will increase to $15.40 from $15. This is the first year that the minimum wage for domestic workers and employers with at least 21 employees is increasing based on changes to the consumer price index, under Chicago’s municipal code.
