Chile Adjusts Minimum Wages Retroactively to Jan. 1

Chile’s monthly minimum wages were increased retroactively to Jan. 1 under a decree published Feb. 6.

The standard minimum wage was adjusted based on the change in the national consumer price index of 2.1272% from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2024. This resulted in a value of 510,636 Chilean pesos (US$530.43) per month, up from 500,000 Chilean pesos, the decree (Spanish) said.

The minimum wage for workers under age 18 or over age 65 increased to 380,923 Chilean pesos per month, up from 372,989 Chilean pesos, the decree said.
