Chile Updates Social-Taxable Wages Effective Jan. 1, 2026

Taxable wages for Chile’s social taxes increased effective Jan. 1, based on provisional data on national wage increases, the Superintendency of Pensions said.

Monthly taxable wages for unemployment insurance increased to 135.1 units of account (UF), up from 131.8, and monthly taxable wages for other social taxes increased to 89.9 units of account, up from 87.8, the superintendency said in a news release (Spanish). The value of one UF as of Jan. 31 is 39,706.07 Chilean pesos (US$46.20).

These amounts are in effect at least for January 2026, but are based on provisional reporting of wage increases from November 2024 ...
