The Chinese city of Shenzhen increased its maximum housing fund contribution base to 34,860 yuan (U.S. $5,391.19), according to a notice (Chinese) released on June 21, 2021, by the Shenzhen Housing Provident Fund Management Center.
The notice went into effect on July 1, 2021, and remains in effect until June 30, 2022.
The maximum housing contribution base is triple the average monthly salary of Shenzhen employees the previous year, as calculated by the Statistics Department of the Shenzhen Municipality. In 2020, the average monthly salary was 11,620 yuan (U.S. $1,797.06).
