China’s Tianjin Increases Minimum Wage Effective Sept. 1

China’s city of Tianjin increased its minimum wages effective Sept. 1, a notice from the city’s government said Sept. 8.

The monthly minimum wage for full-time workers increased to 2,510 yuan (US$352.47), up from 2,320 yuan, while the hourly minimum wage for part-time workers increased to 26.6 yuan from 24.4 yuan, the municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said in a notice (Chinese).
