Colorado is phasing out its subminimum wage for workers with disabilities under a bill (S.B. 21-039) that Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed on June 29.
The process of phasing out the subminimum wage began July 1, 2021, when workers having disabilities could no longer be hired at less than the minimum wage, under the bill’s provisions.
