Colorado’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to increase in 2022, the state Department of Labor and Employment said Dec. 20.
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, the wage base is to be $17,000, up from $13,600 in 2021, the department said on its website.
For 2022, the unemployment tax rate for nonconstruction employers is to be 1.7%, unchanged from 2021. The tax rate is to be 1.86%, down from 2.07%, for employers in general construction; 7.58%, down from 7.74%, for employers in heavy construction; and 1.86%, down from 2.91%, for new specialty trade contracting employers.
