Colorado Proposes $14.81 Minimum Wage Rate for 2025

Colorado is proposing a $14.81 hourly minimum wage rate that would be effective Jan. 1, 2025, in a Sept. 27 rule released by the Department of Labor and Employment.

The minimum wage for tipped employees would be $11.79, according to the rule.

These are the same wage rates that Bloomberg Tax predicted would be the effective rates for 2025.

The department’s proposed rule also recommends raising the minimum salary threshold for overtime-pay exempt executive, administrative, and professional employees in 2025 to $1,086.25 per week, or $56,485 annually. This threshold would be lower than the federal threshold for 2025, which ...
