Connecticut’s hourly minimum wage will rise to $16.94 from $16.35 effective Jan. 1, 2026, according to a Sept. 3 press release from the governor’s office.
The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Aug. 27 calculations.
The minimum wage increase reflects a 3.6% increase in the employment cost index, which the federal Department of Labor calculates, according to the press release.
