Connecticut Minimum Wage Expected to Increase to $16.35 for 2025 (1)

The hourly minimum wage in Connecticut is expected to rise to $16.35 from $15.69 effective Jan. 1, 2025, according to Bloomberg Tax calculations.

The calculations are based on Connecticut statutes and federal data provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

If the minimum wage increases to $16.35, the maximum tip credit would rise to $9.97 for hotel and restaurant employees and $8.12 for bartenders. These amounts are based on a static $6.38 hourly minimum wage for hotel and restaurant employees and a static $8.23 hourly minimum wage for bartenders, under state law.
