Connecticut Minimum Wage Rising to $15.69 Effective Jan. 1, 2024

Connecticut’s hourly minimum wage will rise to $15.69 from $15 effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to a Sept. 18 press release from Gov. Ned Lamont (D).

This is the first year that the state minimum wage is being adjusted based on changes to the cost of labor, according to the press release.

The tip credit for bartenders and hotel and restaurant employees will also increase effective Jan. 1, 2024. The maximum tip credit will rise to $9.31 from $8.62 for hotel and restaurant employees and to $7.46 from $6.77 for bartenders. These amounts are based on a static $6.38 hourly ...
