Connecticut released its 2025 unemployment insurance tax rates and wage base information in a Nov. 12 update on the state’s Labor Department website.
Tax rates for experienced employers will range from 1.1% to 8.9%, including a fund solvency tax rate of 1% according to the website. The rate for new employers will be 2.2%, down from 2.5% in 2024.
The unemployment-taxable wage base for 2025 will be $26,100, up from $25,000 for 2024, according to the website. This is the first year that the wage base will be subject to an inflation-based adjustment.
