The minimum wage for Cook County, Illinois, will be the same as the state minimum wage effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to an update on the county’s website.
The minimum wage will rise to $14 from $13.70, and the tipped minimum wage will rise to $8.40 from $8, according to the website. These are the same as the statewide rates.
Cook County has yet to release an updated minimum wage notice for 2024.
Cook County’s minimum wage is equal to the federal, state, or county-calculated minimum wage, whichever is highest, according to the website.
