The hourly minimum wage in Cook County, Illinois, will rise to $15.40 from $15 effective July 1, according to an update on the county website.
The tipped minimum wage will rise to $9.25 from $9, according to the website.
Cook County’s minimum wage rates last changed Jan. 1, 2025, not July 1.
The county released an updated frequently asked questions publication and minimum wage notice to reflect the increase. The notice is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Filipino, Arabic, Polish, and Urdu.
