Costa Rica’s daily and monthly minimum wages will increase Jan. 1 under a decree published Dec. 10.
Under the decree (Spanish), daily minimum wages will range from 12,236.95 colónes (US$24.30) for unskilled workers to 15,983.96 colónes for workers in specialized occupations, up from a range of 11,953.65 colónes to 15,613.91 colónes in effect for 2024. Monthly minimum wages will range from 367,108.55 colónes for unskilled workers to 784,139.53 colónes for university graduates, up from a range of 358,609.50 colónes to 765,985.67 colónes in effect for 2024.
