Czech Election Favorite Vows Tax Cuts and No to Euro If in Power

Czech billionaire Andrej Babis pledged to lower taxes, raise pensions and keep the country out of the euro area among his main priorities if he returns to power after October elections.

Babis’s ANO party, which holds a wide lead in opinion polls, presented its complete election program on Thursday that reiterated a plan to gain full ownership of the dominant power utility CEZ AS. It also promised better access to preventive healthcare and housing for young people and some state employees.
