Delaware announced its unemployment insurance tax rates and wage base for 2023 in a press release issued by the state labor department.
The state’s unemployment-taxable wage base for 2023 is $10,500, down from $14,500 for 2022, according to the press release. The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Jan. 27 wage base projection.
Tax rates for experienced employers in 2023 range from 0.1% to 5.4%, according to the press release. The rate for all new employers is 1%.
Nondelinquent employers are also subject to a 0.2% supplemental assessment rate under state law.
