Delaware Law Sets 2-Year Statute of Limitations for Unpaid Wages

Delaware doubled its statute of limitations period for unpaid wages to two years from one year, under a bill that went into effect on April 26.

The two-year statute of limitations under SB 27 applies to any unpaid wages that employers owe to employees on or after April 26, according to the bill synopsis. Unpaid wages that employers owed before April 26 will continue to have a one-year statute of limitations period.
