The District of Columbia’s 2022 living wage notice was posted to the city’s Office of Wage-Hour Compliance website Jan. 6.
Effective Jan. 1 through June 30, the living wage is $15.50 per hour, according to the poster. Effective July 1, the living wage will increase to $16.10 per hour.
The living wage requirement applies to all recipients of government contracts or government assistance worth at least $100,000. It also applies to all subcontractors that receive at least $15,000 of the government contract funds or at least $50,000 of the government assistance funds received by the prime contractor, the poster states. ...
