The Dominican Republic increased its minimum wages for construction workers effective Oct. 1, according to a resolution approved earlier in 2022.
The wages for construction workers (Spanish) vary according to the employee’s responsibility or title, and range from 817.16 Dominican pesos (US$15.26) to 2,451.48 Dominican pesos, up from 797.39 Dominican pesos to 2,392.17 Dominican pesos.
The country has also announced increases for agricultural heavy machinery operators (Spanish) as well as for general heavy machinery operators (Spanish).
