Draft Instructions for 2022 Form 941 Schedule B Issued by IRS

Draft instructions for Schedule B of the 2022 Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return, were released Feb. 3 by the Internal Revenue Service.

The instructions for Schedule B, Report of Tax Liability for Semiweekly Schedule Depositors, were revised to remove guidance pertaining to the expired employee retention credit.

Employers were reminded that the credits for qualified paid sick and paid family leave still may be claimed for wages paid in 2022 for leave taken after March 31, 2020, and before Oct. 1, 2021.
