Employers that received a final nonconfirmation for an E-Verify case referred from April 9 to May 5 should create a new case, according to a May 19 alert on the E-Verify website.
A technical issue occurred with Social Security Administration mismatch cases, which may have resulted in an incorrect final nonconfirmation status for employees during the aforementioned time period, according to the alert. Affected employees include those who may have properly attempted to resolve the E-Verify case by visiting an SSA office but did not contact the federal Homeland Security Department.
