Everett, Washington, Votes to Create Local Minimum Wage

Voters in Everett, Washington, approved a ballot initiative on Nov. 5 to establish a local minimum wage starting July 1, 2025.

The minimum wage under Initiative 24-01 will be $20.24 per hour through Dec. 31, 2025, but will only apply to large employers. Large employers are defined as those with more than 500 employees, including franchisees of franchises that employ more than 500 employees in the aggregate.
