The minimum wages for San Mateo County, the city of San Mateo, Belmont, Burlingame, and East Palo Alto, California, will increase effective Jan. 1, 2025.
The hourly minimum wage will rise to $17.95 from $17.35 in Belmont and the city of San Mateo, to $17.48 from $17.03 in Burlingame, and to $17.45 from $17 in East Palo Alto.
San Mateo County has its own minimum wage, which applies to unincorporated areas of the county; this rate will rise to $17.46 from $17.06.
