Florida’s range of unemployment tax rates is the same for 2022 as in 2021, the state Department of Revenue said Jan. 14.
Effective Jan. 1, unemployment tax rates range from 0.1% to 5.4%, the department said on its website. The tax rate for new employers is 2.7% in 2022, unchanged from 2021.
Florida’s unemployment-taxable wage base is $7,000 in 2022, unchanged from 2021.
Tax rates are to be available online and by phone in early February, the department said. Tax rate notices are to be mailed to employers by Feb. 18.
