Florida Revises Unemployment Tax Rates for 2021

Florida’s minimum unemployment tax rate for 2021 was revised, the state Department of Revenue said April 27.

Effective retroactive to Jan. 1, 2021, the minimum unemployment tax rate for experienced employers is 0.1%, down from 0.29%, the department said on its website. The maximum tax rate remains 5.4%.

The minimum rate was revised because of changes made under a measure (S.B. 50) signed April 19 by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), the department said.
