The National Labor Relations Board cleared a Kentucky home appliance maker of labor law charges that it unlawfully fired a worker who objected to mandatory overtime work.
The NLRB on Thursday affirmed an administrative law judge’s decision that former GE Appliances employee LaDonna Dawson’s resistance to working overtime wasn’t protected by the National Labor Relations Act.
Dawson represented herself while contesting the administrative law judge’s August 2025 ruling. The NLRB general counsel’s office, which litigated the case before the ALJ during the Biden administration, didn’t file an appeal.
