Georgia’s flat tax rate is unchanged for 2026, while it does not yet conform to federal tax changes made by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (Pub. L. 119-21), the state revenue department said in its 2026 withholding methods.
The flat tax rate in the withholding methods remains 5.19%, the department said. The withholding methods were unchanged from the previous revision effective July 1, 2025.
Georgia’s Internal Revenue Code conformity date of Jan. 1, 2025, means it does not yet conform to the changes made by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the department said.
