Germany Decreases Insolvency Benefit Contribution for 2023

Germany’s insolvency benefit contribution rate is to decrease for 2023, an ordinance from the country’s labor ministry published Dec. 22 said.

The contribution, which is assessed on employers’ payrolls, is to decrease to 0.06% in 2023 from 0.09% in 2022, the ordinance (German) from the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said.

The contribution funds benefits paid to employees who lose work because their employer becomes insolvent.
